UCASDR Introducing John Bosco Kanuge as a Voluntary technical advisor

By UCASDR Management

Greetings everyone. We take the opportunity to introduce Mr. John Bosco Kanuge who is

joining our team of technical advisors. Mr. John Bosco Kanuge is a senior art lecturer at College

of Engineering Design Art and Technology ( CEDAT), Makerere University. He has previously

worked in different capacities on different programs of Uganda Community Art Skills

Development and Recycling (UCASDR). As such, he has provided incredible wisdom and

expertise on critical issues which has spearheaded the growth and vibrancy of the organization.

Mr. Kanuge immediately fills the void left behind by Mr. Nsereko who we continue to

acknowledge as one of the most compete professionals we had in this field. We believe the

new technical advisor will perform to their best and therefore contribute to the realization of

the organization's objectives. Nonetheless, such performance should be a collaborative

undertaking as is the norm with all our teams in different sectors. We appreciate Mr. Kanuge,

for accepting this new role and we commit ourselves to benefit from his counsel and expertise

to continue making livelihoods at the grass root level sustainable through skills development.

Restructuring of UCASDR’s team of Technical Advisors By UCASDR Management

Greetings everyone. Uganda Community Arts Skills Development and Recycling Organization is

an entity established to promote skills development at the grassroot level voluntarily through working with

local communities. In the last couple of years, UCASDR has worked with hundreds of women

and youth in communities of Bwaise, Mulago, Nansaana- Katooke  Kalerwe ,jinja and other parts of the country to improve

livelihoods through skills development. Today, many of these are not only self employed with

skills in different technical disciplines, but are economically empowered and can sustain their

social- economic wellbeing. We congratulate our team of technical advisors for their enduring

commitment to provide the necessary support- both tangible and intangible- which has

enabled us to realize the success we can speak about today.

In order to sustain such achievements and improve on what is already available, UCASDR is

restructuring its team of technical advisors. Mr. Raymond Nsereko, one of the senior technical

advisors, has been moved to another department where his experience and counsel are

urgently needed. We definitely appreciate the vacuum he is leaving behind, but on the other

hand, his transfer to another office will greatly benefit the organization in both the short and

long run. Soon, an equally competent expert will be identified for the position to enable the

smooth running of all UCASDR activities. In the meantime, UCASDR continues to pledge it’s

commitment to fulfill its one of many objectives of improving livelihoods in the grassroot

communities through skills development.

We also take the opportunity to thank all the respective partners and funders of UCASDR.

Thank you for your selfless partnership and financial support.

UCASDR. Improving livelihoods through Skills Development.
