Greetings everyone. Uganda Community Arts Skills Development and Recycling Organization is
an entity established to promote skills development at the grassroot level voluntarily through working with
local communities. In the last couple of years, UCASDR has worked with hundreds of women
and youth in communities of Bwaise, Mulago, Nansaana- Katooke Kalerwe ,jinja and other parts of the country to improve
livelihoods through skills development. Today, many of these are not only self employed with
skills in different technical disciplines, but are economically empowered and can sustain their
social- economic wellbeing. We congratulate our team of technical advisors for their enduring
commitment to provide the necessary support- both tangible and intangible- which has
enabled us to realize the success we can speak about today.
In order to sustain such achievements and improve on what is already available, UCASDR is
restructuring its team of technical advisors. Mr. Raymond Nsereko, one of the senior technical
advisors, has been moved to another department where his experience and counsel are
urgently needed. We definitely appreciate the vacuum he is leaving behind, but on the other
hand, his transfer to another office will greatly benefit the organization in both the short and
long run. Soon, an equally competent expert will be identified for the position to enable the
smooth running of all UCASDR activities. In the meantime, UCASDR continues to pledge it’s
commitment to fulfill its one of many objectives of improving livelihoods in the grassroot
communities through skills development.
We also take the opportunity to thank all the respective partners and funders of UCASDR.
Thank you for your selfless partnership and financial support.
UCASDR. Improving livelihoods through Skills Development.
Three cheers for UCASDR! Best of luck to Raymond in his new position.
